From Brisbane, Australia To Nova Scotia, Canada
I would’ve travelled to the ends of the earth to get the sound I was after. It was only 16256 kilometres, or if I felt like swimming 8777 Nautical miles. But No I just sat on a few planes for over a day to get there. Certainly was well worth it!
After years of searching for the right producer that would give me my own sound and one that was not scared off by originality. My songs finally found renowned Music producer Tim Feswick of Feswick Productions in Nova Scotia, Canada.
While recording in Nova Scotia I also did some radio interviews and they got a sneak preview of one of my album tracks which went across really well ( think they kinda liked my Aussie accent ). Got some guest spots, newspaper and other press things so all in all it was a very productive trip.
I’ve got an excellent band in Canada ready for my return to do a tour so I’m looking very much forward to that.
I’ve always written all styles of music and enjoy changing things up a bit and pushing the boundaries so my new album does do a bit of crossing over but I have got exactly what I was going for out of it – My Own Sound! that’s what I always wanted to be known for.
I’m really happy with this album, It’s totally me, shows my sense of humour and unique style. It’s the album I’ve waited for and been working hard towards my whole career.
All the talented Canadian musicians that played on the tracks had a ball and it really comes across in the music, there’s just so much energy throughout the whole production, it’s wonderful how it all came together so well.
All the pre-release comments I’ve received so far have been “What a Fun album!”
As an artist I just want to help people escape everyday boredom even if it’s only for a few minutes ( the length of a song ) and make them feel something, anything at all.If it’s a Happy and Fun feeling they get from listening to my songs then I’m happy to take that as, Job Done!
